Fitness Is About Physical Ability Optimization, Not Physical Ability Maximization!

Fitness is a compromise between a wide variety of physical abilities... not the "maximization" of one physical ability at the expense of all the others. Only focusing on one or two aspects of fitness ultimately makes your weaknesses more pronounced!

If you want a physical training program to help you perform your best no matter what the challenge and develop the lean, muscular, athletic body exemplifying all-purpose fitness, base your search on the universal definition of physical fitness.

Look for physical fitness programs designed for physical ability "optimization". Avoid the workout programs specializing in physical ability "maximization".

If you spend all your time and energy on maximizing one aspect of fitness, what improvements are being made in the other physical abilities needed for all-purpose fitness excellence?

None... or very little!

You can only achieve well rounded fitness excellence, and your best body through compromise. Optimize your ability to perform all physical abilities at any given time. Don't maximize your ability to perform one physical ability at a specific point in time.

True physical fitness is your physical ability to perform the widest variety of tasks under the greatest diversity of circumstances. It is not based on maximizing one physical ability to perform one task under controlled circumstances. In terms of over-all fitness, being able to do many things with competence is preferred to being able to do one thing exceptionally.

Specialization Destroys

Over-All Fitness Excellence

We live in a world of specialization. This may be fine in other aspects of your life, but the more specializedyou become in terms of fitness, the further away you get from over-all, universal fitness.

Optimization of multiple physical abilities improves over-all fitness, as well as positively impact general health and develop a symmetrical, naturally athletic, aesthetically pleasing physique. On the other hand, programs and products designed to "maximize" one physical ability, while ignoring the rest, will ultimately make your weaknesses more pronounced. And, unfortunately, we will most likely be challenged in work, sport and life according to our weaknesses and not our strengths.

When you train to become a better over-all human being with competence in a wide variety of physical abilities, you are better suited to meet the challenges of work, sport and life with excellence. You achieve true fitness, and your physical appearance reflects your fitness capabilities.

Many physical training programs out there are marketed as a way to maximize one aspect of fitness like muscle building, fat loss, cardiorespiratory endurance, etc. While these workout programs can form a part of your over-all, comprehensive fitness plan, don't look at them as the last word in your fitness, health and physique needs.

Ultimately, the physical training programs you choose should be a part of a comprehensive plan to improve all the physical abilities of fitness. They should produce the greatest amount of fitness improvement, positively impacting health and unveiling your best body.
