To enjoy any degree of fitness success you must welcome physical training, proper diet and a healthy lifestyle into your life. Does that mean you can never stop physically training, eating right and living well?If you want to keep your hard earned fitness, health and physique benefits... that is exactly what it means.
The good news is once you accept physical training, proper diet and a healthy lifestyle into your life, you start thinking of yourself as fit, and naturally do things to promote fitness success.
You will actually think something is wrong if you stopped training, eating poorly and living badly.
On the path to go from unfit to fit there are 4 stages. Knowing where you are in the process helps you achieve your fitness, health and physique goals.
Stage 1
To Go From Unfit To Fit

You are unfit and you know it.

The environment in which you live leads you away from fitness, health and attractive physique.

You have the desire to change, but you don't know what to do.

Stage 2

You try to implement training, diet and lifestyle changes properly, but lack the mastery to succeed in proper execution.

There are still elements of your environment leading you away from fitness, health and attractive physique.

Stage 3

You are skilled at creating a fitness environment, but only with conscious effort.

You still must follow the instructions as is and concentrate on every aspect of physical training, diet and lifestyle in order to do it properly.

Failure to make a conscious effort results in returning to previous bad habits leading you away from fitness, health and attractive physique.

You still think of yourself as unfit, but you see fitness as a possibility.
Stage 4
To Go From Unfit To Fit

You create a fitness environment through training, diet and lifestyle automatically and successfully maintain this environment with no conscious effort.

Once this level of mastery is achieved, you naturally and perfectly create the environment the leads to fitness, health and attractive physique.

You understand the process to such an extent that you no longer are bound by strict guidelines, and you can take a creative and active role in developing your fitness training program, diet and lifestyle.

You now think of yourself as fit, and naturally maintain a lifestyle to maintain that self-image.
It is very important to note that in stages 1,2 and 3 you still think of yourself as unfit. These are the most important and fragile stages, because it is easy to fall back on the bad habits of your unfit self image. However, once your self image changes to fit, it becomes hard to do things to sabotage your fitness, health and physique because it is just not you!
